I read a lot of these books, watch a lot of stories, and i’ve turned into one of those annoying people that guess the ending and accidentally ruin films/tv shows for other people by pointing out the probable culprit or plot direction early on. I do and I REALLY enjoyed this book.
Yes, I do think the two are related.
First, let me be clear, calling a horror movie B-rated is not shade. At least not in my opinion. It's just a feeling. You know the ones. Attractive people, usually high school or college kids, coming together, drinking, dancing, making bad choices and a blood bath ensues.

If you're looking for a terrific literary take on what happens after the credits roll on a slasher film, I highly recommend reading Kealan Patrick Burke's novel, KIN. That book is phenomenal. What I could never recommend is reading this beached, bloated, and rotten-through-and-through sperm whale of a book.
