A buddy of mine who isn't very tech oriented has a Toshiba Satellite C655-S5082 laptop running Win 7 home premium. It gets stuck on a constant boot cycle that never gets to the Win screen. Just the startup Toshiba splash screen and black. He no longer has the install DVD that came with the comp so wiping it and starting over is not an option.
Now I don't know Windows very well much less Win 7 but i know that it has a repair boot partition.
The problem is I have no idea how to get to it. I tried holding down F8 and 0 and both only result in a long loud beep.
I have access to a Dell Win 7 32bit Pro DVD and was able to use it to boot the Toshiba.
Sadly that isn't going to work because I get this when i tried to use it:

Using that same DVD but instead going the install route I can see the three partitions

So does anyone know how to get to a point to reinstall Windows 7 and wipe Partition 2?
He doesn't care about the user data he just wants it running. If this was caused by a virus or similar issue It would be better to start fresh. I assume this like OSX Lion where there's already an install image on one of these two remaining partitions.
