Might be posted elsewhere but just came across this
These are authentic Microsoft. Much better than getting from an unknown untrusted source

These are genuine and official download links. Its completely LEGAL to use them as they don't come with a product key. You'll need to use your own product key to activate Windows. The links provide an untouched Windows 7 ISO which is a fully functional 30-day trial version which can be converted into full version after entering your product key and activating it.

With all Microsoft OS CD/Dvd burn iso at 4x

Been posted a few times before. But the range has been extended.

There are 2 different versions of the sp1 windows 7 dvd, the one made last year and the one made in may of this year.

May 2011 is:
en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677332.iso

This is the latest release from microsoft. Then you also have the ultimate, pro, home versions and stuff. If all these versions can be found in one image that means someone has been messing with the image and I would not trust it anymore.

Can these be used for laptops with Windows already installed ie ones that don't come with install disks provided you use the same version and the product key?

Here is another option: http://www.heidoc.net/joomla/t...load-links

@StringJunky. Yes. These are perfect for that situation. Have just burned the latest myself for that purpose.

Thanks Harry

The May update added 1 update, was weird.

Where did you get that from? Totally wrong. Even Home Premium contains all Images and the ei.cfg file in sources controls what is installed.

Images from digitalriver links above are direct from MS and clean. I trust Askvg

@Veegertx your correct sorry, every dvd has all versions, only the size of those disks would worry me, they should be half the size.

As long as it works i guess

some remove other images to make iso smaller but you don't gain that much. tools like vlite and RT Seven Lite or you can do it manually yourself with imagex

I use rt7lite, is very simple program, and you dont need to install anything extra if you use a windows 7 system.
My normaal win7 sp1 x64 iso is less than 4 gig and that would make me worry about those iso's what extra stuff have they put in there to dubble the memory of the iso?

Reason why I say this is cause i've downloaded a windows 7 iso before and it took longer than normaal to install. Afterwords I found the biggest load of software installed all useless software packages and most of them started up with the computer. I only trust the offical iso uploads now.

Just done a clean install with the Home Premium 64bit version and it went without a hitch..nice not to have to remove all the HP and 'extra' rubbish first! My key worked just fine. Took about 30 minutes I think but got all the updates and software to do. It's definitely worth having.

I've put the link in 'Best of Breed' sticky for future reference.

Thanks veegertx :D

StringJunky your lucky,
Only with later model PC can you reinstall with only a key. That mean's your PC is activated by a Slic 2.1 bios which is what most OEM do.

I just explained this yesterday elsewhere
open admin cmd prompt and type slmgr -xpr slmgr -dlv
if OEM then then under description it will say OEM_SLP channel
This will explain that http://www.mydigitallife.info/...duct-keys/

Otherwise there are methods to save activation. There is a tool to do that and you will have to google Paymyrent Token restore. I have saved the 2 files and mount and inject into install.wim image only to save the hassle of calling when I repair a PC here.
Can't use it but on same PC it came from so that's not hacking or nothing.

These official iso would be good to burn and have to do repair install especially if you have installed SP1. Or with most PC we buy now don't come with the disk. ;(

I ran your command and it told me it was a 30 day job so I went into the Windows Activation page by typing 'Activate' in the start > search box and hitting the link. I typed in my P/Key and it ran and told me it was successful..must have messed up first time. Here's the result now running your command ( slmgr -xpr slmgr -dlv ):

The description as you said does contain the OEM SLP

Tony

How do you find out if you can do what I did on mine BEFORE trying to install that disk if it will license it with your existing key? If I was helping someone in this direction it would be good to help them find out first that they have the SLIC 2.1 BIOS that you mentioned. Do you just run the same command assuming that their computer still works and make sure it says OEM_COA_SLP channel in the description?

I'm an ignoramus on this! :D

Tony

RW everything shows it but have to know how to read it
easiest is SLIC Toolkit 3.2 http://www.bios.net.cn/Files/s...t_V3.2.rar

someone without the 2.1 will need the token restore

Did you read this
Contrary to popular belief, the product key printed on the COA sticker is not used to activate the Windows, it’s master SLP royalty key that does the job. COA product key is provided as it would be required if a reinstallation of Windows is needed, unless users backup OEM activation beforehand. End-users are required to perform activation by phone or activate online.

There are key programs out there to read it but I use a vb script file will read and decode your actual key. http://www.mediafire.com/?zv4bu6cn0h8bbfk

Windows 7 untouched iso download windows 10

So when I entered my key the new Windows installation checked my Laptop's BIOS entry to see if it matched?

Tony

OEM disks don't have a key on them. All that is checked is the version.
And if you remove the OEM info, and burn a new disk, you can use it on any other make computer. Sometimes even that is not necessary.

I don't think so, too many and there wasn't much of a difference between 2.0 and Slic 2.1 bios.
If you extract the iso to HD and open Dvdsourcesproduct.ini it has the 30 day keys you can use.

Some OEM use a script located in WindowsSetupScripts and it is deleted after you install.

cscript %windir%system32slmgr.vbs -ilc %windir%system32oemoem.xrm-ms
REG QUERY 'HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersion' /v 'EditionID' FINDSTR /I 'Ultimate'
IF NOT ERRORLEVEL 1 SET PIDKEY=xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
cscript %windir%system32slmgr.vbs -ipk %PIDKEY%

When I installed the disk and in the midst of that I entered the p/key but as I later found out from veegertx's command that it was 30day only. I re-entered the key whilst connected to the internet and it activated..did it need online confirmation as he suggested or was it actually done within my laptop?

Pardon me being major thicky. If the status shown after running SLIC Toolkit is as Veegertx has ( Dump OK------V21 ) does that mean the disc will work with my existing product key?
I tried running slmgr -xpr slmgr -dlv but got nothing.

Think what you may. But the proof of the pudding is in my own household (let alone the computers I repair for others)
I just use the disk that's first to hand, to re-install. They always auto activate, with no problems.
That is purely OEM disks.

Thanks LH. I would have just stuck the disc in and expected it to work until I started reading this thread, then I got neurotic, and totally baffled.

Veegertx

My SLIC dump shows the same version..v2.1

Seasider it's a good job I asked the qustion and jumped in with both feet isn't it? I have the insurance of images if it didn't work so I wouldn't have been pulling my hair out if it messed up. I'm find this thread interesting but I'm a bit baffled as well. I presume from what V is saying, if after running the SLIC toolkit, the SLIC Dump shows the 2.1 version of it it will work like it did for me.

LH, are OEM disks different to the ones V linked to?

Tony

Computers were designed by experts to bemuse, and baffle us common folk.

StringJunky
Had you captured your key prior then yours might be a OEM_SLP channel instead of COA which you used. That key on side is for that purpose but had you used master key it auto activates. Do you have an image you can put back or restore partition?

'Data embedded in the BIOS (in SLIC table), together with the digitally signed certificate (OEM cert), is used to validate the product key. SLP keys will work with any OEM SLP system, regardless of the OEM system’s brand, i.e. not brand specific.'
You have different keys for Premium, Ultimate and so on

That cert is found in C:WindowsSystem32OEM with an extension of .xrm-ms and the cmd above is used to install it slmgr.vbs -ilc
slmgr.vbs -ipk installs the product key

V
Why would I want restore to an old image (which I can)? The OS is licensed and from here on I shall image the new installation at intervals as before. Apart from not understanding what you are telling me all I'm concerned with is the disk worked and I can now carry on can't I as normal? OK it didn't auto activate and I did it manually but so what? i may not even use that disk again on this laptop as I just use ongoing images and keep a copy of the original installation.

StringJunky
Makes no difference now you have activated using the COA key so that key is used up. Long as your imaging you have no problem

Seasider2
You must use an Administrator's account and do that from Admin command prompt

I just bought a Toshiba laptop recently. I Run my little vbs script from above and it captures a key and also it is OEM_SLP. I checked with Magical Jelly Bean key finder program and came up with same as vbs script. The key on COA sticker on bottom is not the same.

V

Before finishing and releasing the record, the group released several singles on and on. Milky chance stolen dance mp3 download.

If I put an image of the old installation back can I start again?

Edit: Can you summarise what I should have done? I will then (as a learning experience) put an old image back..what steps do I take then?

This stuff is new to me and it's aroused my curiosity.:)

Tony

In SIW, I get 2 different ones,

Windows Product Key
Windows Default Product Key

Download the program, open the file, and follow the on-screen instructions. Add Images to the Program. Click the Add Media button and choose Add Images to transfer a file from your hard drive into the workspace. Specify the Output Format. Convert TIFF to JPEG. Tiff to jpg converter software free download pdf.

I have no idea what that is all about.

LH

The default one is hard coded into the OS to allow you to evaluate the OS for the grace period and the other one is the one that permanently activates it.

Thanks Tony. I hadn't researched it, cos as I mentioned before, they always auto activate.

That's alright mate. :)

Are those disks that V linked to oem or something else?

Original MS I believe. Definitely not OEM. I'll download one and have a look inside it.

with Siw Windows 7 Default Product Key here matches same key for 30 day trial found in extracted Win 7 iso sourcesproduct.ini

Those are clean MS iso and not OEM, you can create OEM yourself with just a little work. Why? Because number 1 reason is SP1 has been released and we'll probably be seeing SP2 sometime in the future. I create an $OEM$ folder in sources folder and add my own stuff.
Just like we done at work working with IT we have been doing this since XP

Really don't know how far I can go here before being banned or something so I'll just put a link if you need further help. This is my program http://www.msfn.org/board/topi...injection/
I am not promoting it because you can use any of the others in same forums over there.

StringJunky
I wanted to mention that you can go to same place and ask a ? in forum like 'How to create an OEM folder'. If you have an OEM machine like Dell, HP and so on.
You can do this even with non OEM.
This is OEM structure

$OEM$
$$ <<- C:Windows $$WebWallpaper <<- Wallpapers here
$$SetupScripts <<- setupcomplete.cmd, OOBE.CMD, OEM.reg, SLP.cmd
$$System32 <<- $$System32OEM <<- OEM *.xrm-ms + valid Master Product Key, OEM logos
$1 <<- Drive Root
$1Drivers <<- where some OEM place driver files
$1Install <<- where I place most things and call from there. EX: %SystemRoot%InstallFirstlog.cmd

Picture for Unattended Installs, Slipstreams and Deployments.

Discussed on HTG Forum way back during XP days.

yes Our work and things we submitted over there helped develop that guide for XP. Win 7 is really different but Microsoft left the $OEM$ there for the OEM's or those of us want to play with it. I've been playing with this since XP and even looking at win 8 right now.
The SLP auto activation is new

Was future planned by MS from the beginning of Product Activation concept.

Concerted implementation began with Vista. (See Link)

Last OEM Machine I owned was a Commodore 64.

Windows 7 Iso Download Free

Software has always been MS Developer and Partner Skews so not familiar with the Branded OEM products.

Rick P.

Once again, does not have to be oem. Create the OEM structure and activate same way they do. If not OEM you save 2 files and insert them into your image
'C:WindowsSystem32spptokenspkeyconfigpkeyconfig.xrm-ms
'C:WindowsServiceProfilesNetworkServiceAppDataRoamingMicrosoftSoftwareProtectionPlatformtokens.dat

and you don't have to hack your bios like your link refer's to

I went OEM just to have the stuff to tinker with, almost went Alienware but settled on this I7 from dell which is awesome after cleaning the garbage out.
I have said I recieved an Win 7 upgrade disk from Dell and it was an identical MS Home premium dvd, CLEAN install with auto activation

I started a post How to create an OEM folder even without OEM PC
http://www.msfn.org/board/topi...ntry973012
but am typing it up

Ok have completed that for future additions as needed but here it is How to Create an OEM folders

Did this thread motivate to get that tutorial done? :)

I shall study this thread over time and your tutorial..thanks for the info!

Tony

Yes we get asked that so many times thought I'd just put it together so others can participate in ?

There is so much you can do with setting things up including installing applications even from a batch file using RunOnceEx
Inject all your updates, drivers
I install Office, Java, Acronis and many other things by adding them to my installation
